Electrical Design Engineer

With in-house engineering, design coordination, structural, civil and MEP teams, Go Tech provides a vertically integrated approach from concept and design through procurement, site execution, commissioning and handover. **Job Summary** We are seeking a highly skilled **Electrical Design Engineer** with **consultancy experience** to join our MEP Design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing electrical designs for a variety of building projects, ensuring compliance with local authority regulations, international standards, and project specifications. The candidate should have strong technical expertise in electrical building services design and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the design stages. **Key Responsibilities** * Design electrical systems for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, educational, industrial, and mixed-use developments. * Prepare electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, cable sizing, and short-circuit studies. * Design and prepare layouts for: * Power Distribution Systems * Lighting Systems * Emergency Lighting * Small Power Systems * Earthing & Lightning Protection * Low Current (ELV) Systems * Fire Alarm Systems * Data & Communication Systems * CCTV * Access Control * Public Address Systems * Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), schematics, and detailed design drawings. * Develop technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documentation. * Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, and plumbing disciplines. * Attend design coordination meetings with clients, architects, contractors, and authorities. * Ensure designs comply with: * DEWA Regulations * Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) * Dubai Municipality * IEC Standards * NFPA Standards * British Standards (BS) * Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical submissions. * Conduct site visits when required to resolve technical issues. * Provide technical support during construction and project execution. * Ensure timely delivery of high-quality design documentation. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. * Professional Engineering certification is an advantage. * Membership with recognized engineering institutions is preferred. **Experience** * **5–8 years of experience** in electrical design engineering. * **Minimum 3–5 years of UAE/GCC consultancy experience is mandatory.** * Proven experience in building services electrical design. * Experience working on high-rise, commercial, residential, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. **Technical Skills** * AutoCAD * Revit MEP * BIM Coordination * Dialux EVO * ETAP (preferred) * Microsoft Office Suite * Knowledge of Navisworks is an advantage.
