HSE Engineer

The HSE Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE regulations, risk assessment, and incident prevention, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. - Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken. - Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention. - Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors. - Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, emissions, and pollution control. - Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate HSE requirements into project planning and execution. - Maintain accurate records of HSE activities, incidents, and training sessions. - Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve HSE performance. - Act as the primary point of contact for HSE-related inquiries and regulatory inspections. **QUALIFICATION AND SKILL** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) is mandatory**.** * **Experience:** - At least 2-3 years of experience in HSE roles within the construction sector. - Proven experience in the implementation, management, and documentation of HSE policies and procedures in both industries. - Experience in conducting risk assessments, site audits, and incident investigations. **Skills:** * Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and safety standards. * Excellent documentation and reporting skills with an ability to prepare detailed and accurate records. * Proficiency in HSE software tools and Microsoft Office Suite. * Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. * Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. * Sound understanding of health and safety legislation in the UAE. **Certifications:** * Dubai Driving License * OSHA Certificate * NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate) or equivalent is essential. * Other relevant certifications such as First Aid, Fire Safety are a plus.
