Mechinical Project Coordinator

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented **Mechanical Project Coordinator** to support the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting) works across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will coordinate between project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and UAE standards. Key Responsibilities * Coordinate mechanical project activities from project award through completion. * Review mechanical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project documents. * Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting works with architectural, structural, electrical, and civil teams. * Monitor project schedules and ensure timely execution of mechanical activities. * Assist in preparing and tracking material submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, and technical documentation. * Follow up with consultants and clients to obtain approvals for technical submittals. * Coordinate procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. * Monitor subcontractor progress and ensure compliance with approved drawings and project specifications. * Support site engineers in resolving technical and coordination issues. * Attend project coordination meetings and prepare meeting minutes and action trackers. * Track project progress, identify delays, and report risks to the Project Manager. * Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities. * Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, health & safety requirements, and company QA/QC procedures. * Maintain accurate project records, progress reports, and documentation. * Assist in preparing as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and project close-out documents. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. * Minimum **5–8 years of experience** in MEP or interior fit-out projects. * UAE/GCC experience is preferred. * Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and fire fighting services. * Experience in shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and project coordination. * Familiarity with UAE codes and authority requirements. * Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of MS Project or Primavera is an advantage. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Preferred Candidate * Experience with MEP contractors or interior fit-out companies in the UAE. * Strong understanding of project execution, procurement coordination, and site management. * Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.
