Project Engineer

**Job Responsibilities:** * Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects from start to completion. * Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirements. * Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to maintain project schedules. * Prepare and monitor project schedules, progress reports, and daily/weekly site updates. * Track project costs, quantities, and material requirements to support budget control. * Ensure all construction activities comply with quality standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. * Conduct site inspections to monitor work progress and identify technical or construction issues. * Resolve engineering and technical challenges by coordinating with the design and construction teams. * Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, method statements, and technical documentation. * Verify completed work for progress billing and support payment certifications. * Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. * Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed according to contractual obligations. * Maintain accurate project records, including drawings, change orders, inspection reports, and correspondence. * Participate in project meetings and provide technical input and progress updates. * Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and company policies. * Support project closeout activities, including final inspections, punch lists, and handover documentation. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field. * 3–7 years of experience in construction project engineering or site engineering. * Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management principles, and engineering standards. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software (e.g., Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project). * Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. * Knowledge of health, safety, and quality management systems.
