Project Manager

Position: Project Manager Location: Al Safi Group HQ – Baghdad, Al - Yarmouk near the Green Apple Responsible for planning, managing, and delivering projects from initiation through completion, ensuring that all project activities are completed within the approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities : Plan, coordinate, and manage project activities from initiation to completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and execution plans. Ensure projects are delivered according to the approved scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards. Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments. Lead and supervise the project team and ensure clear assignment of responsibilities. Monitor project progress against the approved schedule and take corrective actions when required. Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, contracts, and other technical documents. Coordinate procurement and material requirements to ensure timely availability at the project site. Monitor project costs, commitments, variations, and overall budget performance. Identify project risks, technical issues, delays, and resource constraints and develop appropriate solutions. Manage project variations, claims, and change orders in coordination with the relevant departments. Conduct regular site visits and project progress meetings. Ensure all project activities comply with approved quality standards, specifications, and HSE requirements. Review and approve project reports, progress updates, and required documentation. Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover activities. Maintain proper project documentation and ensure records are updated throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare regular management reports covering project progress, cost, risks, challenges, and required actions. Maintain effective communication with clients and ensure their requirements are properly addressed. Ensure timely completion and successful handover of projects. Perform other project-related duties assigned by management. Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field. 5–8 years of relevant experience, with proven experience managing projects. Previous experience in electrical, MEP, construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred. Proven experience managing project teams, contractors, and subcontractors. Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control. Good understanding of engineering drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contracts. Strong knowledge of MS Office. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
