Project Manager- Interior Fit out

**ob Title:** Project Manager **Department:** Projects **Industry:** Interior Design & Fit-Out **Location:** UAE **Reports To:** General Manager / Project Director Job Purpose The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and successful completion of interior fit-out projects. The role requires strong project management, commercial awareness, technical understanding, and leadership skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities **Project Planning & Execution** * Plan, manage, and execute interior fit-out projects from mobilization through to handover. * Develop project schedules, execution plans, manpower requirements, and resource allocation. * Monitor project progress against approved timelines, budgets, and milestones. * Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring priorities and deadlines are achieved. * Identify project risks, delays, and constraints and implement corrective actions. **Client & Consultant Management** * Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders. * Attend project meetings and provide regular progress updates. * Maintain strong client relationships and ensure client requirements are properly understood and delivered. * Manage approvals, inspections, variations, and project-related correspondence. **Site & Team Coordination** * Lead and coordinate Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen, subcontractors, and site teams. * Coordinate with Design, Estimation, Procurement, Finance, and other internal departments. * Ensure drawings, materials, manpower, and resources are available as required. * Conduct regular site visits and monitor project execution. **Commercial & Cost Control** * Monitor project costs, budgets, procurement, and resource utilization. * Review and control variations, additional works, and subcontractor costs. * Coordinate with the commercial team regarding BOQs, valuations, variations, and payment applications. * Ensure projects are delivered within the approved budget and maximize project profitability. **Quality & HSE** * Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. * Coordinate inspections and ensure timely rectification of defects. * Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and client/consultant requirements. * Monitor site safety and ensure subcontractors comply with safety procedures. **Procurement & Subcontractor Management** * Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials. * Review material requirements and ensure they align with project schedules. * Manage subcontractor performance, progress, quality, and deliverables. * Resolve site-related technical and operational issues efficiently. **Project Documentation & Reporting** * Maintain accurate project records, schedules, progress reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation. * Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports for management. * Monitor project KPIs and provide updates on project status, risks, costs, and timelines. * Ensure proper project close-out documentation and handover. Project Handover * Coordinate snagging, inspections, testing, and commissioning where applicable. * Ensure all outstanding works and defects are completed within agreed timelines. * Coordinate final handover with the client/consultant. * Ensure completion documents, warranties, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals are properly submitted. Qualifications & Experience * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field. * Minimum **5–8 years of experience** in project management within the UAE interior fit-out, construction, or interior design industry. * Proven experience managing commercial, hospitality, residential, retail, or corporate fit-out projects. * Strong knowledge of interior fit-out processes, construction methods, materials, and site execution. * UAE project experience is highly preferred. * Strong knowledge of project scheduling, cost control, subcontractor management, and client coordination. * Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, MS Office, or relevant project management software is an advantage.
