QA/QC Inspector

Job Description – QA/QC InspectorJob Title QA/QC Inspector Department Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) Reports To QA/QC Manager / QA/QC Engineer Job Purpose To inspect construction activities and materials to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and applicable codes. The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for identifying non-conforming work, monitoring corrective actions, and maintaining quality records throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities * Conduct inspections of construction works in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). * Verify that construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project quality requirements. * Inspect incoming materials and verify compliance with approved Material Inspection Requests (MIRs). * Review and witness Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by site engineers and subcontractors. * Identify non-conforming work and issue or recommend Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required. * Monitor corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure of quality issues. * Witness field tests and inspections as required by project specifications. * Maintain inspection records, quality reports, checklists, and supporting documentation. * Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Consultants, and Subcontractors regarding inspection activities. * Ensure that approved materials and construction procedures are followed at all times. * Participate in snagging, de-snagging, pre-handover, and final inspections. * Support internal and external quality audits. * Report quality issues and inspection findings to the QA/QC Manager. Authority * Reject work that does not comply with approved project specifications or quality standards. * Request corrective actions before approval of non-compliant work. * Recommend re-inspection after corrective actions have been completed. Qualifications * Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. * Quality-related certifications are considered an advantage. Experience * Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a QA/QC Inspector in construction projects. * Experience in building, infrastructure, or industrial projects is preferred. Technical Skills * Knowledge of construction quality standards and inspection procedures. * Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications. * Familiarity with ITPs, Method Statements, IRs, MIRs, and NCRs. * Knowledge of applicable international standards and local regulations. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. * Strong documentation and report-writing skills. Working Conditions * Site-based position. * Frequent site inspections under varying weather conditions. * May require extended working hours based on project requirements. Work Location: In person
