Quantity Surveyor

**Quantity Surveyor** We are looking for an experienced **Quantity Surveyor** with a **minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Landscape projects (Abu Dhabi & Dubai)** . The ideal candidate should have expertise in quantity take-offs, cost estimating, and project management. Key Responsibilities1. Quantity Surveying * Review contract drawings, specifications, BOQ, and tender documents. * Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and BIM models where applicable. * Verify BOQ quantities against IFC drawings. * Measure completed work in accordance with contract requirements. * Prepare re-measurements for provisional quantities. * Monitor quantity changes throughout project execution. 2. Cost Control * Monitor project costs against approved budget. * Track committed costs and forecast final project cost. * Prepare monthly cost reports. * Identify cost-saving opportunities. * Monitor material wastage. * Assist in preparation of project cash flow. 3. Variation Management * Identify variation works. * Prepare detailed Variation Order (VO) submissions. * Evaluate Engineer's Instructions (EI). * Prepare cost breakdowns with supporting documents. * Negotiate variation values with consultants and clients. * Maintain Variation Register. 4. Interim Payment Applications * Prepare monthly Interim Payment Applications (IPA). * Measure completed works. * Coordinate with site engineers for progress quantities. * Respond to Engineer comments. * Follow up certification. * Monitor payment status. 5. Subcontract Administration * Prepare subcontract BOQs. * Evaluate subcontractor quotations. * Prepare comparison sheets. * Measure subcontract works. * Prepare subcontract payment certificates. * Evaluate subcontract variations. * Monitor subcontract final accounts. 6. Procurement Support * Review supplier quotations. * Compare commercial offers. * Verify BOQ compliance. * Support procurement team in commercial evaluation. * Assist in material budget monitoring. 7. Contract Administration * Review contract conditions. * Understand FIDIC provisions. * Maintain commercial correspondence. * Prepare contractual notices. * Support claims preparation. * Maintain commercial records. 8. Cost Reporting Prepare and update: * Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) * Budget vs Actual Report * Forecast Cost Report * Commitment Report * Material Cost Report * Commercial Dashboard * Final Cost Forecast 9. Claims & Commercial Support Assist Commercial Manager in: * Extension of Time (EOT) cost assessment * Prolongation costs * Loss & Expense claims * Delay analysis support * Disruption cost calculations * Final Account preparation 10. Final Account * Prepare Final Account. * Negotiate final settlement. * Close all variations. * Finalize subcontract accounts. * Ensure commercial close-out. **Skills and Competencies** * Strong numerical and analytical skills * Good understanding of construction methods and materials * Knowledge of contracts and procurement processes * Excellent communication and negotiation skills * Attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Proficiency in cost management software and MS Excel **Quantity Surveyor Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar. * Landscape/Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous. * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. * Sound knowledge of construction. * Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills. * Ability to organize, plan, and strategize. * Great networking abilities. * Microsoft Excel (Advanced) * AutoCAD * PlanSwift * Microsoft Office Suite * Ability to commute/relocate: Job Type: Full-time Experience: * Landscaping Industry: 2 years (Required) Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person
