Senior Accountant **Location:** Dubai, UAE **Employment Type:** Full-time Job Summary We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented **Senior Accountant** to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounting operations, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, preparing financial reports, and supporting management with accurate financial insights. Key Responsibilities * Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. * Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities. * Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with IFRS and UAE regulations. * Prepare and review VAT returns and ensure compliance with the UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements. * Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit activities. * Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts. * Review payroll journals and employee-related financial transactions. * Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies. * Implement and maintain internal financial controls and accounting procedures. * Assist management with financial analysis and strategic decision-making. * Mentor and guide junior accounting staff when required. * Analyze financial risks and recommend cost-saving initiatives. * Support business planning, investment decisions, and financial modeling. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Minimum **6–8 years** of accounting experience, with at least **4 years in the UAE**. * Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and FTA compliance. * Experience with ERP/accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics. * Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. * Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
