Senior Blast & Ballistic Protection Engineer

**Key Responsibilities** * Lead the engineering design of blast- and ballistic-resistant protection systems. * Perform blast load calculations, ballistic assessments, and structural vulnerability analyses. * Develop engineered protection concepts for buildings, structures, and critical assets. * Design and evaluate: * Blast-resistant structures * Ballistic protection systems * Protective barriers and enclosures * Reinforced concrete protective structures * Steel protective systems * Perform structural analysis under: * Blast loading * Projectile impact * Fragment penetration * Impact loading * Prepare engineering calculations, design reports, technical specifications, and construction documentation. * Conduct engineering reviews and independent design verification. * Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the design process. * Review contractor and supplier technical submissions. * Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning. * Participate in technical workshops, design reviews, and client meetings. **Minimum Qualifications** * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Protective Design, or a related discipline. * Minimum **20 years** of relevant experience in blast and ballistic engineering. * Demonstrated experience in protective structural design for high-security or mission-critical facilities. * Strong knowledge of structural dynamics and nonlinear structural response under extreme loading conditions. * Proven capability to produce detailed engineering calculations suitable for independent verification. **Required Technical Expertise** * Blast-resistant structural design * Ballistic protection engineering * Protective structural design * Structural hardening * Impact-resistant structures * Progressive collapse analysis * Reinforced concrete and steel structure design * Dynamic structural analysis * Finite Element Analysis (FEA) * Risk and vulnerability assessment * Protective barrier systems **Preferred Standards** Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable: * UFC 3-340-02 * UFC 4-010-01 * UFC 4-023-03 * ACI * ASCE * Eurocodes * ASTM Standards * NIJ Ballistic Standards * NATO STANAG Standards **Software Experience** Proficiency in one or more of the following: * LS-DYNA * ABAQUS * ANSYS * SAP2000 * ETABS * STAAD.Pro * RFEM * AutoCAD * Autodesk Revit **Deliverables** The successful candidate should be capable of producing: * Blast and Ballistic Engineering Calculations * Structural Analysis Reports * Engineering Design Reports * Technical Specifications * Construction Drawings * Material Specifications * Bill of Quantities (BOQ) * Cost Estimates * Design Verification Reports * Engineering Review Reports Pay: AED20,000.00 - AED25,000.00 per month Application Question(s): * Total years of experience in Civil/Structural Engineering? * How many years of experience do you have in Blast-Resistant Structural Design * Have you worked on Ballistic Protection Engineering projects?
