Senior Quantity Surveyor – Marble & Fit-Out

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced **Senior Quantity Surveyor** to join our client’s team in Sharjah, specializing in **marble works and high-end fit-out construction projects**. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial expertise with proven experience in cost management, contract administration, procurement, and quantity surveying within marble, stone, or interior fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing project costs from tender stage through final account settlement, ensuring commercial efficiency, accurate cost control, and successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and **Bills of Quantities (BOQ)** for marble and fit-out projects. * Manage the complete quantity surveying lifecycle from **tender preparation to final account completion**. * Review project drawings, specifications, scope of work, and contracts to ensure accurate cost planning. * Conduct quantity take-offs, measurements, and pricing for marble, stone, and fit-out works. * Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, negotiate prices, and support procurement activities. * Manage subcontractor agreements, valuations, and commercial documentation. * Monitor project costs, variations, and financial progress against approved budgets. * Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, payment certificates, and cost reports. * Review, evaluate, and process variation orders, claims, and change requests. * Provide commercial support and cost advice to project teams and management. * Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution. * Identify commercial risks and recommend cost-saving solutions. * Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company procedures, and industry standards. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum **5 years of experience** as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within **marble works, stone contracting, or interior fit-out construction**. * Proven experience in marble and stone projects including supply, installation, detailing, and finishing works. * Strong understanding of UAE construction practices, subcontracting, and procurement processes. * Hands-on experience in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, tendering, and contract administration. * Good knowledge of variation management, claims, valuations, and final accounts. * Proficiency in MS Office and quantity surveying/cost estimation software. * Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Qualifications * Experience working with marble factories, stone suppliers, or specialized interior contractors. * Previous involvement in luxury residential, hospitality, retail, or commercial fit-out projects. * Knowledge of **FIDIC contracts** and UAE contract practices. * Experience managing high-value interior finishing packages.
