Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for shipbuilding, ship repair, conversion, dry-docking and offshore marine projects. * Review project contracts, scope of work, technical specifications, repair lists, drawings, BOQ and delivery milestones. * Prepare WBS, baseline schedules, Level 1–4 programmes, detailed work packages, resource plans and project calendars. * Plan hull, structural steel, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, outfitting, blasting, painting and commissioning activities. * Coordinate dry-dock entry, vessel docking, undocking, sea trials and final delivery schedules. * Integrate engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, inspection, testing and commissioning activities into the master schedule. * Coordinate with project managers, naval architects, marine engineers, discipline engineers, production teams and vessel representatives. * Conduct planning meetings with supervisors, foremen, subcontractors and department heads. * Attend client, owner, classification society, technical, progress and site coordination meetings. * Maintain regular communication with shipowners, consultants and vessel representatives regarding progress, constraints and completion forecasts. * Collect daily progress updates from workshops, vessels, dry docks, subcontractors and discipline teams. * Update schedules with actual progress, remaining durations, productivity, forecast dates and revised completion milestones. * Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, schedule narratives and management presentations. * Prepare two-week, three-week and monthly look-ahead schedules for all marine disciplines. * Monitor planned versus actual progress, critical path, float, productivity, manpower and equipment utilization. * Prepare S-curves, manpower histograms, progress charts, milestone trackers and key performance indicators. * Develop progress measurement systems and weightages for engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning work. * Plan steel renewal, plate fabrication, pipe spool fabrication, equipment overhaul, machinery installation and accommodation refurbishment. * Track material requisitions, purchase orders, subcontracted work, vendor services, long-lead items and delivery schedules. * Coordinate material availability with production priorities to avoid work stoppages and vessel delivery delays. * Identify schedule risks, interface issues, access restrictions, material shortages and production bottlenecks. * Prepare recovery, acceleration and catch-up schedules for delayed activities. * Monitor subcontractor schedules, manpower deployment, productivity and contractual milestones. * Support resource loading, resource levelling, cost loading, cash-flow forecasting and earned-value analysis. * Maintain delay registers, constraint logs, risk registers, action trackers and progress-supporting records. * Support delay analysis, extension-of-time claims, variations, additional work orders and change-control documentation. * Coordinate QA/QC inspections, NDT, hydrotesting, pressure testing, machinery trials and system completion activities. * Monitor class and statutory inspections involving classification societies and maritime authorities. * Coordinate mechanical completion, system turnover, pre-commissioning, commissioning, harbour trials, sea trials and final handover. * Ensure approved variations, additional repair items and scope changes are incorporated into the project schedule. * Maintain accurate historical planning data, productivity norms and project close-out records. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Marine, Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial or a related engineering discipline. * Minimum 4–7 years of planning experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, dry-docking, marine or offshore projects. * Strong knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, advanced Excel and reporting tools. * Understanding of shipyard production processes, dry-docking operations and marine construction sequences. * Familiarity with hull, piping, mechanical, electrical, outfitting, blasting, painting and commissioning activities. * Knowledge of critical-path analysis, resource planning, progress measurement, delay analysis and earned-value management. * Experience coordinating with shipowners, classification societies, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams. * Strong client interaction, analytical, reporting, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
