Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain integrated shutdown, turnaround and maintenance schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project. * Review shutdown scope, work orders, job lists, drawings, specifications, inspection findings and client requirements. * Prepare WBS, detailed activity lists, logic networks, critical milestones and Level 1–4 schedules. * Break down work scopes into executable work packs with activity durations, resources, materials, tools and equipment requirements. * Plan pre-shutdown, shutdown execution, commissioning, start-up and post-shutdown activities. * Integrate mechanical, piping, static equipment, rotating equipment, electrical, instrumentation, civil, structural, inspection and scaffolding works. * Plan equipment isolation, decontamination, blinding and de-blinding, draining, purging, cleaning and reinstatement activities. * Coordinate tie-ins, valve replacements, piping modifications, vessel entry, exchanger servicing and equipment overhauls. * Develop hour-by-hour, shift-wise and daily execution schedules for critical shutdown periods. * Plan permits, LOTO, SIMOPS, lifting operations, confined-space entry, scaffolding, NDT, hydrotesting and inspection requirements. * Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, inspection, procurement, HSE, QA/QC, commissioning, contractors and vendors. * Conduct scope-review, constructability, risk, readiness and schedule-optimization meetings. * Attend client, daily progress, technical, safety and shutdown coordination meetings. * Monitor long-lead materials, spares, consumables, tools, cranes, specialized equipment and vendor mobilization. * Prepare manpower histograms, equipment plans, resource-loaded schedules and shift deployment plans. * Identify resource clashes, access limitations, work-front restrictions and interface risks. * Conduct schedule risk analysis, critical-path analysis and resource levelling. * Establish progress-measurement methods, activity weightages, reporting cut-off dates and key performance indicators. * Collect and validate progress updates from supervisors, field planners, contractors and discipline engineers. * Update the live schedule using actual dates, completed quantities, remaining durations and forecast completion dates. * Monitor critical and near-critical activities and provide early warnings for possible delays. * Prepare daily and shift-wise progress reports, S-curves, dashboards, variance analysis and completion forecasts. * Lead daily schedule-review meetings during shutdown execution and track outstanding actions. * Prepare recovery, acceleration and catch-up plans to protect mechanical-completion and start-up dates. * Review contractor schedules, manpower mobilization, productivity and execution performance. * Track additional work, emergent scope, variations and their impact on schedule, resources and cost. * Support time-impact analysis, delay analysis, claims evaluation and change-control documentation. * Coordinate QA/QC inspections, NDT, testing, punch-list closure, mechanical completion and system handover. * Monitor system reinstatement, leak testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and safe plant start-up. * Maintain shutdown planning databases, lessons learned, productivity norms and close-out reports. * Participate in post-shutdown reviews and recommend improvements for future turnarounds. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline. * Minimum 5–8 years of planning and scheduling experience, including shutdown or turnaround projects. * Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, advanced Excel and progress-reporting tools. * Strong understanding of refinery, petrochemical, oil and gas, power-plant or process-plant maintenance activities. * Knowledge of static and rotating equipment, piping, E&I works, inspection and commissioning sequences. * Familiarity with PTW, LOTO, SIMOPS, confined-space entry, isolation and plant-safety procedures. * Experience with critical-path scheduling, resource loading, progress measurement and recovery planning. * Familiarity with SAP PM, Maximo, Power BI or other maintenance and reporting systems is an advantage. * Strong client interaction, coordination, analytical, reporting, leadership and problem-solving skills.
