Sr Accountant & Finance Specialist

Job Summary The Accounts Manager & Finance Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end accounting, taxation, and financial compliance for perfume manufacturing, wholesale, retail, and export operations. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, adherence to UAE regulations, timely VAT and Corporate Tax filings, and strong financial controls while supporting business growth and operational efficiency. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Reporting * Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual **financial statements** as required by the **Federal Tax Authority (FTA)**. * Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with **IFRS and US GAAP**. * Manage general ledger, trial balance, and month-end and year-end closing activities. * Support management with financial analysis and periodic reporting. Taxation & UAE Compliance * Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable **KSA & UAE government laws**, accounting standards, and tax regulations. * Prepare, review, and file **VAT returns**, ensuring correct treatment of local, retail, wholesale, and export transactions. * Prepare data and supporting schedules for **Corporate Tax filings**, including taxable income computation. * Identify **admissible and non-admissible deductions** in line with UAE Corporate Tax Law. * Maintain all mandatory tax documentation, records, and **FTA audit-ready files**, including required attestations. * Track and implement changes in **KSA &** **UAE tax legislation**, assess risks, and support mitigation strategies. Manufacturing, Trading & Sales Accounting * Oversee **cost accounting** for perfume manufacturing, including raw materials, fragrances, packaging, labor, and production overheads. * Monitor inventory valuation for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods across factory, warehouse, retail outlets, and export shipments. * Ensure proper revenue recognition for **wholesale, retail, and export sales**. * Account for sales returns, discounts, promotional schemes, and inter-branch transfers. Reconciliation & Internal Controls * Perform regular **reconciliation and segregation of bills**, supplier statements, customer balances, and bank accounts. * Monitor accounts payable and receivable aging, ensuring timely collections and payments. * Implement and maintain strong internal controls to reduce financial and compliance risks. ERP & Process Management * Utilize ERP systems to manage accounting, inventory, and tax workflows efficiently. * Ensure accurate mapping of VAT and tax codes within the ERP system. * Support system upgrades, automation, and reporting improvements. Fixed Asset Management * Maintain and control the **fixed asset register** including manufacturing machinery, laboratory equipment, retail fixtures, vehicles, and office assets. * Prepare and review **depreciation schedules** in line with accounting standards and tax requirements. * Monitor capital expenditures and asset capitalization. Audit & Coordination * Support **internal, external, and FTA audits** by providing accurate financial records and explanations. * Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities. * Assist in responding to FTA queries and assessments. Qualifications & Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Professional qualification such as **CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA**, or equivalent preferred. * Minimum **5–8 years of relevant experience**, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or trading companies. * Strong knowledge of **KSA & UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations**. * Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
