Accountant – Freight Forwarding **Location:** Arabian Tide Shipping FZE, UAE **Job Type:** Full-time **Salary:** Negotiable (Based on Experience) Arabian Tide Shipping FZE is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in accounting, UAE tax compliance, inventory accounting, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities * Manage day-to-day accounting operations including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, and bank reconciliations. * **Must have hands-on experience with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) compliance, including VAT return preparation and filing, Excise Tax filing, and adherence to UAE tax regulations.** * Maintain accurate financial records for excise goods, designated zone inventory, and warehouse operations. * Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports. * Monitor inventory accounting and stock valuation. * Coordinate with operations teams to ensure accurate inventory and shipment records. * Ensure proper accounting and documentation for Bills of Entry (BOE), customs-related transactions, stock transfers, and excise movements. * Support FTA audits and inspections by maintaining complete and accurate documentation. * Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Excise Tax, and accounting standards. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. * Minimum **2–4 years of UAE accounting experience.** * **Mandatory:** Proven hands-on experience with **UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations, VAT return preparation and filing, Excise Tax filing, and overall FTA compliance.** * Strong knowledge of excise goods, designated zone operations, inventory accounting, and stock control. * Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. * Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal). * **Knowledge of Arabic is preferred and will be considered a strong advantage.** * Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
