Cost Accountant

**Job Title:** **Cost Accountant** **Location:** Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, UAE **Industry:** PaperManufacturing **United Paper Industries Company** is seeking a qualified and results-driven Cost Accountant to join our Finance team and support cost control, financial analysis, and operational efficiency initiatives. **Job Description** To manage and control product costing, inventory valuation, and cost optimization processes within a manufacturing environment using SAP. The role ensures accurate cost tracking, supports financial planning, and enhances operational efficiency. **Key Responsibilities** * Perform product costing (standard, actual, and variance analysis) in SAP (CO module). * Monitor and analyse raw material, labour, and overhead costs. * Prepare and review monthly cost reports and variance analysis (production, purchase price, usage). * Manage inventory valuation and ensure alignment with accounting standards. * Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to manufacturing costs. * Analyse production efficiency, wastage, and yield variances. * Coordinate with production and procurement teams for cost control initiatives. * Ensure proper month-end closing activities in SAP (WIP calculation, settlement, variance posting). * Maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing data for accurate costing. * Support internal and external audits related to costing and inventory. * Assist in capitalization of projects and monitoring of CAPEX. * Provide insights for cost reduction and process improvement. **Qualifications & Experience** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * Professional qualification (e.g., CMA / ACCA / CPA) preferred. * 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting. * Strong hands-on experience with SAP (CO/FI modules). **Key Skills & Competencies** * Costing & Financial Analysis * SAP & Systems Proficiency * Communication & Stakeholder Coordination * Time Management & Adaptability **Equal Opportunity Employer** UPIC FZCO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
