Asycuda Supervisor

Job Purpose The ASYCUDA Supervisor is responsible for managing and monitoring all ASYCUDA-related processes associated with the Bank’s Cross-Border import payments, in accordance with the requirements and instructions of the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI), Iraqi Customs authorities and other relevant regulatory bodies. The position ensures that the required ASYCUDA information and codes are obtained and verified before the execution of applicable Cross-Border payments and that the related files are properly followed up and closed after the imported goods arrive in Iraq and the required customs documentation is completed. Key Responsibilities ASYCUDA Processing & Verification Manage and follow up all ASYCUDA-related requirements for Cross-Border import payments processed by the Bank. Ensure that the required ASYCUDA code/reference is obtained and properly recorded before execution of applicable international transfers. Verify the consistency of ASYCUDA information with payment instructions, invoices, and other supporting trade documents. Coordinate with the International Banking and Cross-Border Payments teams before execution of transactions requiring ASYCUDA documentation. Identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent ASYCUDA information and coordinate with the relevant department or branch for correction. Post-Transfer Follow-Up & File Closure Maintain continuous follow-up of ASYCUDA files after execution of Cross-Border payments. Monitor the arrival and customs clearance of goods related to import payments. Ensure that the required customs and supporting documentation is obtained after the goods enter Iraq. Complete and follow up the closure of ASYCUDA files within the applicable regulatory deadlines. Maintain an updated record of open, pending, overdue and closed ASYCUDA files. Follow up with branches, customers and relevant internal departments regarding outstanding documentation and unresolved files. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with CBI instructions and other applicable regulations concerning ASYCUDA and Cross-Border import payments. Monitor new regulations, circulars and procedural changes relating to ASYCUDA and communicate relevant changes to the International Banking Department and other concerned units. Prepare periodic reports on ASYCUDA transactions, open files, overdue cases, and file closures for the Director of International Banking Department. Prepare and provide ASYCUDA-related information and reports requested by the CBI or other competent authorities. Maintain complete and properly organized records for regulatory review, internal control, and audit purposes. Coordination & Control Act as the focal point within the International Banking Department for ASYCUDA-related matters. Coordinate with Cross-Border Payments, Trade Finance, Compliance/AML, Corporate Banking, Branches, and other relevant units.
