Market Research & Competitive Intelligence Analyst

About the Role RTB Bank is looking for a Market Research & Competitive Intelligence Analyst to be our eyes and ears on the market. You will monitor competitor products, pricing, and campaigns; analyze market trends; and produce intelligence that keeps RTB one step ahead. What You'll Do Monitor the Competition: Conduct ongoing competitive audits across Iraqi banks — tracking product launches, pricing changes, promotional campaigns, and digital innovations. Produce Market Intelligence: Deliver monthly and ad-hoc market intelligence briefs to the Head of Research, Product Marketing Managers, and Department Heads. Build Battle Cards: Create and maintain competitor battle cards, product comparison matrices, and pricing trackers for all major retail and corporate product lines. Track Macro Trends: Monitor macroeconomic developments, regulatory changes, and consumer behavior shifts in Iraq and the broader region that could impact the bank's strategy. Support Product Strategy: Partner with Product Marketing Managers and Product Development to identify market gaps, white-space opportunities, and threats. Manage Research Projects: Design and execute primary and secondary research projects — from customer focus groups to industry report synthesis — to fill knowledge gaps. What You Need 3–5 years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or strategic analysis — preferably in banking, consulting, or financial services. Strong analytical and research skills with proven ability to gather, verify, and synthesize information from multiple sources. Deep understanding of banking products (retail and corporate) and the competitive dynamics of the Iraqi financial sector. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce concise, executive-ready intelligence briefs. Fluency in Arabic and English; Kurdish is a strong plus. A proactive, curious mindset with the discipline to maintain rigorous standards of accuracy and objectivity.
