KNX Programmer & Automation Technician

We are seeking an experienced KNX Programmer & Automation Technician to join our growing Smart Home Automation team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in KNX programming, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of residential, commercial, and hospitality automation systems. The candidate will be responsible for programming KNX systems, commissioning projects, coordinating with engineers and clients, and ensuring the successful delivery of smart home and building automation projects. **Key Responsibilities:** * Program, configure, and commission KNX-based Smart Home and Building Automation Systems using ETS Software. * Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain KNX automation systems. * Configure and integrate: * Lighting Control * Dimming Systems * HVAC Control * Smart Switches * Curtain & Blind Automation * Motion & Presence Sensors * Smart Thermostats * Energy Management Systems * Integrate KNX systems with third-party platforms where applicable. * Perform site surveys and prepare technical implementation plans. * Read and interpret electrical drawings, KNX topology, wiring diagrams, and layout plans. * Coordinate with project managers, engineers, electricians, and clients during project execution. * Conduct system testing, commissioning, and client handover. * Diagnose and resolve programming and hardware issues. * Provide technical support and after-sales service. * Prepare project documentation, programming backups, and commissioning reports. * Ensure projects are completed on time while maintaining high-quality standards. * Train end users on system operation after project completion. * Technical Skills Required * Strong knowledge of KNX Protocol * ETS5 / ETS6 Programming * KNX Commissioning * KNX Bus Configuration * KNX Troubleshooting * Lighting Automation * HVAC Automation * Curtain & Blind Control * DALI Integration * IP Networking Basics * Smart Home Integration * Wired Automation Systems * ELV Systems * Structured Cabling * Home Automation Programming * Preferred Experience * Experience with one or more of the following is an added advantage: * DALI Lighting Control * Modbus Integration * BACnet * Zigbee & Matter Integration * Video Door Phone Systems * Access Control Systems * CCTV Systems * Multi-room Audio * Home Cinema Integration * Home Assistant * Tuya Smart * Crestron * Control4 * RTI * HDL * ABB * Schneider Electric * Siemens * GIRA * Jung * Basalte * Zennio * MDT Technologies **Candidate Requirements:** * Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in KNX programming and Smart Home Automation. * Hands-on experience with ETS5/ETS6 software. * Good understanding of electrical wiring and ELV systems. * Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings. * Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. **Mandatory Requirements:** * Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in KNX Automation. * KNX Basic or Advanced Certification (preferred). * Valid UAE Driving Licence. * Own vehicle is an advantage. * Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field. * Fluent in English (Arabic is an added advantage).
