Mechanical Design Engineer

**Mechanical Design Engineer – HVAC, Plumbing & Firefighting (MEP Consultancy)** **Location:** United Arab Emirates **Employment Type:** Full-Time **Job Summary** We are looking for an experienced **Mechanical Design Engineer** specializing in **HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting** systems for an Architectural & Engineering Consultancy in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in building services design, authority submissions, and coordination for residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and high-rise projects while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and international standards. **Key Responsibilities** * Design HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems for building projects. * Prepare design calculations, layouts, technical reports, specifications, and BOQs. * Develop concept, schematic, detailed, and authority submission drawings. * Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, and MEP disciplines. * Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, Civil Defense requirements, ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC/UPC, and relevant international standards. * Prepare and review design documents, shop drawings, and material submittals. * Attend client meetings, technical coordination meetings, and project reviews. * Provide technical support during construction and project execution. * Deliver projects within timelines while maintaining high-quality design standards. * Utilize AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP/Elite (or equivalent HVAC software), and hydraulic calculation software. **Requirements** * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * **4–10 years of experience** in MEP Building Services Consultancy. * UAE/GCC consultancy experience is highly preferred. * Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, villas, mixed-use, and high-rise developments. * Strong knowledge of: * HVAC Design * Plumbing Design * Firefighting Systems * UAE Authority Regulations * UAE Civil Defense Requirements * ASHRAE & NFPA Standards * IPC/UPC Codes * Proficiency in: * AutoCAD * Revit MEP * HAP / Elite (or equivalent HVAC software) * Hydraulic & Pipe Sizing Software * Microsoft Office * Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. **Preferred Candidate** * Strong technical design background in MEP Consultancy. * Experience handling authority submissions and approvals. * Excellent coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams. * Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
