Mechanical Site Engineer

We are seeking an experienced **Mechanical Site Engineer** with 5–7 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out and MEP projects. The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all mechanical works at project sites, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage and firefighting systems, while ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, authority requirements and safety standards. Key Responsibilities * Supervise the execution of mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage and firefighting systems. * Review approved shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and project specifications before site execution. * Coordinate mechanical works with architectural, electrical, civil and interior fit-out activities. * Ensure all mechanical installations are completed according to approved drawings, project requirements and applicable standards. * Monitor daily site activities, workforce productivity and subcontractor performance. * Conduct site inspections and identify technical issues, installation discrepancies and coordination conflicts. * Prepare material requirements and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery. * Verify delivered materials against approved material submittals and project specifications. * Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and other project stakeholders. * Raise inspection requests and ensure timely approval of completed mechanical works. * Attend site coordination meetings and provide progress updates to the Project Manager. * Monitor project schedules and ensure mechanical works are completed within agreed timelines. * Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports. * Maintain records of inspections, approvals, testing reports, variations and site instructions. * Supervise testing, commissioning and balancing of mechanical systems. * Ensure proper preparation of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals and handover documents. * Identify variations and additional works and coordinate with the commercial or quantity surveying team. * Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements at the site. * Support snagging, de-snagging and final project handover activities. Qualifications and Experience * Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. * Minimum 5–7 years of experience as a Mechanical Site Engineer. * Relevant experience in interior fit-out, commercial, hospitality, retail or residential projects. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage and firefighting systems. * Experience working with consultants, subcontractors and local authorities in the UAE is preferred. * Good understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications and MEP coordination requirements. * Knowledge of testing, commissioning and project handover procedures. * Familiarity with UAE authority regulations and applicable building standards. Technical Skills * Ability to read and interpret mechanical shop drawings and coordinated MEP drawings. * Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications. * Familiarity with project planning and reporting tools. * Knowledge of material submittals, inspection requests, method statements and technical documentation. * Understanding of BOQs, variations and quantity take-offs will be an advantage.
