QA/QC Engineer -MEP

**Job Summary:** The QA/QC Engineer – MEP is responsible for implementing the Project Quality Management System, ensuring that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, contract requirements, international standards, and local authority regulations. The role ensures quality throughout installation, testing, commissioning, and handover. **Key Responsibilities:** * Implement and maintain the Project Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plan for all MEP activities. * Review project specifications, drawings, method statements, material submittals, and inspection test plans (ITPs). * Ensure MEP works are executed in accordance with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and applicable codes. * Conduct inspections of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, electrical, ELV, and other MEP installations. * Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project teams. * Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) and ensure timely approvals. * Monitor installation quality and identify non-conforming work. * Raise, monitor, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions. * Verify materials delivered to site comply with approved material submittals and project specifications. * Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test certificates, calibration records, and QA/QC documentation. * Participate in factory inspections whenever required. * Ensure Testing & Commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures. * Witness testing of HVAC systems, electrical systems, fire fighting systems, plumbing systems, and ELV systems. * Coordinate snagging and de-snagging activities before consultant and client inspections. * Ensure all as-built documents and quality handover documentation are complete prior to project close-out. * Conduct internal quality audits and support ISO compliance. * Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Site Engineers, and Project Managers to ensure quality objectives are achieved. * Attend project quality meetings and provide periodic quality reports. * Promote continuous improvement and adherence to company quality standards. **Skills & Competencies:** * Excellent knowledge of MEP installation standards and quality inspection procedures. * Strong understanding of DEWA, DCD, Dubai Municipality, and relevant international standards. * Familiarity with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IEC, BS, and IPC standards. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. * Strong documentation and report writing skills. * Excellent communication and coordination abilities. * Good analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple inspections under tight project schedules. * Team-oriented with strong attention to detail. **Experience & Qualification:** * Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. * Certification in Quality Management (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor) is an advantage. * Minimum **3–5 years of UAE experience** as a QA/QC Engineer – MEP in a building contracting company. * Knowledge of DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence (DCD), DM, and relevant MEP standards. * Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and QA/QC documentation software. * Hands-on experience in **high-rise residential, commercial, and mixed-use building projects**. * Strong knowledge of UAE authorities' quality requirements and international standards.
