Quantity Surveyor (Aluminium Facade Industry)

**Key Duties and Responsibilities** * **Quantity Take-Offs & BOQ:** Perform precise quantity take-offs from architectural and shop drawings for curtain walls, glazing, ACP cladding, and doors/windows. Prepare and review detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ). * **Cost Estimation & Budgeting:** Develop accurate cost estimates for materials (aluminium profiles, glass, hardware), labor, fabrication, and installation. * **Tendering & Procurement:** Assist in drafting tender packages, analyzing subcontractor bids, and preparing material comparisons to secure cost-effective deals. * **Variation Management:** Identify, quantify, and price project variations (scope changes), ensuring timely submission of claims and approvals. * **Valuations & Billing:** Prepare monthly interim payment applications, track work-done quantities at the site, and follow up on client/main contractor certifications and payments. * **Commercial Control & Reporting:** Monitor and forecast project costs, manage cash flow, and prepare regular financial reports for senior management. * **Site & Factory Coordination:** Liaise regularly with project managers, site engineers, production supervisors, and draftsmen to align material consumption with actual site progress. * **Contract Administration:** Assist in resolving commercial disputes, tracking contractual obligations, and finalizing project accounts. **Key Requirements:** * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline. * Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of QS experience specifically within the façade, aluminium, and glass sector (GCC or UAE experience is highly preferred). * Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of curtain walling, cladding, aluminium fabrication, and modern façade systems. * Contracts & Standards: Strong grasp of contract law, FIDIC conditions, and standard QS practices. * Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, with working knowledge of QS software like Candy, CCS, or Build Smart. * Soft Skills:Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills. * Languages: Excellent English (written & spoken).
