Senior Accountant

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented **Senior Accountant** to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, cost analysis, and month-end/year-end financial closing. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent accounting knowledge, and preferably experience in the **printing press industry**. Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting * Manage daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. * Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing of financial books. * Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow. * Maintain the general ledger and ensure all accounting entries are accurate. Cost Analysis & Financial Control * Conduct detailed cost analysis for products and operations. * Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost savings. * Prepare profitability reports and financial analysis for management. * Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Accounts Management * Supervise Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger functions. * Ensure timely supplier payments and customer collections. * Verify accounting transactions and ensure compliance with company policies. Team Leadership * Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of **two accounting staff**. * Allocate daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance. * Ensure smooth coordination within the accounts department. Compliance & Audit * Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and company policies. * Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits. * Prepare schedules and supporting documents for audit and tax requirements. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. * Professional qualification (ACCA, CMA, CPA, CA – completed or pursuing) is an advantage. * Minimum **2-5 years of UAE accounting experience**, with at least **2 years in a Senior Accountant role is an advantage**. * **Printing press industry experience is highly preferred.** * Strong experience in **cost analysis, inventory accounting, and manufacturing/production costing**. * Proven experience in closing financial books within deadlines. * Experience leading a small accounting team. * Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and financial reporting. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software. * Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
