We are seeking a highly motivated **Technical Engineer – Automotive Installation & Documentation Specialist** to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys transforming complex engineering designs into clear, professional, and user-friendly technical documentation. You will work closely with our Engineering, Production, and Installation teams to ensure every product is accurately documented for efficient manufacturing, installation, and customer use. **Key Responsibilities** * Interpret 2D engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). * Develop clear and logical assembly and installation procedures for vehicle accessibility systems. * Prepare professional installation manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and technical documentation. * Create step-by-step assembly guides, including alignment methods, fastening sequences, inspection points, torque requirements, and quality control checks. * Develop user manuals, operating instructions, and maintenance guides for customers. * Produce and annotate exploded-view drawings, technical illustrations, photographs, and assembly images. * Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Installation teams to validate documentation and continuously improve assembly processes. * Update technical documentation in accordance with engineering changes, product improvements, and revision control. * Ensure all documentation complies with company quality standards and engineering best practices. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline. * Minimum **3 years of relevant experience** in mechanical design, automotive engineering, manufacturing engineering, or technical documentation. * Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and mechanical layouts. * Experience creating installation manuals, fabrication guides, assembly instructions, SOPs, user manuals, or technical documentation. * Proficient in CAD software such as **SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar platforms**. * Strong technical writing, analytical thinking, and organizational skills. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and workshop teams. * High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, well-structured documentation. **Preferred Qualifications** Candidates with experience in any of the following will have an advantage: * Automotive manufacturing or vehicle modification * Wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) conversions * Mechanical product development and prototype testing * Manufacturing or production engineering * Mechanical assembly documentation * Technical illustration using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software * ISO quality documentation or engineering change management **Why Join Gilani Mobility?** * Work on innovative automotive accessibility solutions that make a meaningful difference in people's lives. * Be part of a growing engineering and manufacturing team delivering custom vehicle mobility solutions. * Gain exposure to product development, manufacturing, installation, and continuous improvement projects. * Collaborative, hands-on work environment with opportunities for professional growth.
