Head of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)

Job Title: Head of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) **Location:** Dubai Islands **Company:** BJORG Construction **Job Type:** Full-time Job Summary The Head of MEP is responsible for leading all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing operations across multiple construction projects. The role ensures successful project delivery by maintaining quality, safety, cost control, compliance with regulations, and timely completion while providing strategic leadership to the MEP team. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage all MEP engineering and construction activities. * Develop MEP execution strategies, standards, and procedures. * Review and approve MEP designs, shop drawings, and technical submittals. * Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities. * Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and project specifications. * Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. * Oversee procurement of MEP materials and equipment. * Manage testing, commissioning, and project handover. * Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans. * Drive quality assurance (QA/QC) and HSE compliance. * Mentor, develop, and evaluate MEP managers and engineers. * Support tendering, value engineering, and cost optimization. * Prepare progress reports and present project status to senior management. **Qualifications & Requirements** * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. * Master's degree (preferred). * PMP or equivalent certification (preferred). * 15–20+ years of MEP experience in construction. * Minimum 5–10 years in a senior leadership role. * Experience managing high-rise, commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects. * GCC/UAE experience is highly desirable **Technical Skills** * MEP design and execution * HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Protection systems * Project management * Cost control and budgeting * Contract administration * QA/QC procedures * Testing & commissioning * AutoCAD, Revit/BIM * Primavera P6/MS Project * Local authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, Civil Defense) **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** * On-time project delivery * Budget adherence * Quality compliance * Safety performance * Client satisfaction * Team productivity * Successful project commissioning and handover Job Type: Full-time Pay: AED20,000.00 - AED30,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
