Mechanical Engineer (UAE National only)

**1- MISSION** Artelia Airports is seeking a motivated UAE National Mechanical Engineer to join the Design Team and contribute to the successful delivery of aviation, building and infrastructure projects. The Mechanical Engineer will support senior engineers in the design, coordination and delivery of mechanical building services systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements, applicable codes and standards, quality objectives and project schedules. **2- LINE & STAFF RELATIONS** The Mechanical Engineer will report to the Senior Mechanical Engineer, Design Manager or Head of MEP and will work in coordination with other team members such as: ARTELIA AIRPORTS staff: * Senior Mechanical Engineers, MEP Manager, Design Managers, BIM Manager and BIM Coordinators. * Internal / External collaborators: * Architectural, Structural, Electrical, Civil and Infrastructure Engineers. * Sustainability and Fire & Life Safety Specialists. * Partners and sub-consultants assigned to projects. * Client representatives, stakeholders and relevant authorities under the supervision of senior team members. **3- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** Design Delivery * Be an active member of the design team in the delivery of projects from concept through detailed design and construction documentation stages. * Assist in the design and calculation of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection and other mechanical building services systems. * Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and construction documentation. * Support senior engineers in ensuring compliance with applicable international and local codes, standards and regulations. * Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and coordination meetings. * Assist in integrating mechanical systems within BIM models and multidisciplinary environments. * Support the preparation of authority submissions and tender documentation. * Ensure assigned deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules. * Participate in internal quality reviews prior to deliverable submissions. * Assist in resolving design coordination issues with other disciplines. Documentation * Prepare project deliverables in accordance with Company and Client standards. * Maintain proper records of calculations, reports, drawings, specifications and correspondence. * Ensure project documentation is updated and archived in accordance with quality procedures. * Follow Company quality management and document control requirements. Coordination * Coordinate assigned activities with architectural, structural, electrical, civil and specialist disciplines. * Support coordination with sub-consultants and suppliers where required. * Liaise with BIM teams to ensure consistency between engineering calculations, drawings and models. * Assist senior engineers during authority review and approval processes. **4- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** * UAE Family book * Minimum 2 to 5 years of professional experience in Mechanical Engineering; experience in building services, airport, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare or infrastructure projects would be an advantage. * Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with mandatory equivalency from the Ministry of Education where applicable. * Good understanding of HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire protection systems. * Basic knowledge of UAE statutory authority requirements and submission procedures. * Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, IMC, UAE Fire Code and other relevant international standards would be an advantage. * Basic understanding of sustainable building design principles and energy-efficient systems. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP and Microsoft Office; familiarity with BIM processes and multidisciplinary coordination is required. * Knowledge of design software such as HAP, IES, Carrier E20 or equivalent would be an advantage. * Ability to work under pressure and manage assigned tasks in parallel with tight deadlines; fast learner with strong attention to detail. * Strong communication, coordination and report-writing skills in English. * Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop professionally.
