**Operations & Projects Control Manager – Building Construction** **About Us** **GRANS Contracting** is a Dubai-based main contractor delivering residential, commercial, and high-rise building projects across the UAE. As we continue expanding our operations, we are seeking an experienced **Operations & Projects Control Manager** to strengthen project execution, improve operational efficiency, and establish robust project control systems across the organization. This is a senior leadership role for an individual with strong technical, operational, and commercial awareness who can drive project performance from planning through completion. **Key Responsibilities** **Project Operations & Execution** * Oversee the execution of multiple projects simultaneously. * Monitor site progress, productivity, quality, safety, and overall project performance. * Provide technical and operational guidance to Project Managers and Site Engineers. * Conduct regular site visits to identify risks, resolve bottlenecks, and improve project efficiency. * Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved schedules, budgets, specifications, and quality standards. **Project Controls & Performance Management** * Develop and implement company-wide project control procedures and reporting systems. * Establish project KPIs covering schedule, cost, manpower productivity, procurement, subcontractor performance, quality, and cash flow. * Monitor project performance through dashboards and management reports. * Identify delays, cost overruns, productivity issues, and resource constraints, while implementing corrective actions. * Lead weekly and monthly project review meetings with project teams. **Planning & Coordination** * Coordinate closely with the Planning Department to ensure accurate project schedules and progress tracking. * Review baseline programs, recovery programs, and look-ahead schedules. * Ensure engineering, procurement, and construction activities remain fully aligned with project milestones. * Monitor critical path activities and support timely project delivery. **Procurement & Material Control** * Coordinate procurement planning based on project schedules and site priorities. * Monitor long-lead items and ensure timely material approvals, ordering, manufacturing, and delivery. * Work closely with Procurement, and Project Teams to eliminate material shortages and delays. * Review procurement status against construction requirements. **Engineering & Technical Coordination** * Coordinate engineering deliverables including shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, RFIs, and technical approvals. * Ensure engineering outputs are issued in accordance with project priorities. * Coordinate between Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Commercial, and Site Teams to maintain workflow continuity. * Support resolution of technical issues affecting construction progress. **Resource & Productivity Management** * Monitor manpower deployment across all projects. * Analyze productivity trends and recommend improvements. * Review labor utilization, equipment allocation, and overtime efficiency. * Support Project Managers in optimizing project resources. **Risk & Continuous Improvement** * Identify operational risks before they impact project delivery. * Develop corrective and preventive action plans. * Standardize project management processes across all company projects. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and profitability. **Requirements** * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. * Minimum 15 years of experience in building construction, with at least 5 years in a senior operations, project controls, or project management leadership role. * Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. * Experience establishing KPIs, reporting systems, and project performance monitoring frameworks. * Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills. * UAE construction experience is required. **Preferred Experience** * High-rise residential and commercial buildings. * Main contracting environment. * Project recovery and delay mitigation. * Multi-project resource planning. * Cost control and productivity improvement initiatives. **What We Offer** * Opportunity to lead operations across multiple high-value building projects. * Significant involvement in shaping company systems, standards, and operational strategy. * Long-term career growth within an expanding organization. * Competitive salary package based on qualifications and experience.
