Quality Control Engineer

**Summary:** We are seeking an experienced and qualified Quality Control Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical engineering background, coupled with extensive experience in the oil and gas **steel pipe** trading industry. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout our operations, from sourcing and procurement to delivery and customer service. **Responsibilities:** * Oversee the implementation of comprehensive QA/QC procedures for steel pipe trading activities * Conduct thorough inspections of steel pipe products at supplier facilities, upon arrival at our warehouse, and prior to customer delivery * Identify and promptly address any quality defects or non-conformities, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence * Collaborate closely with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to resolve quality issues and maintain strong relationships * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all QA/QC activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance documentation, and corrective action plans * Stay abreast of the latest QA/QC standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, API, ASTM, and other relevant industry standards * Provide technical guidance and support to the QC team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in quality control practices **Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering * Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Quality Control Engineer in the oil and gas steel pipe trading industry * In-depth knowledge of API, ASTM, and other relevant standards applicable to steel pipe products * Proven ability to identify and assess quality defects in steel pipes, utilizing both visual and NDT methods * Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement methodologies * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and customers * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant quality control software Job Type: Full-time Education: * Bachelor's (Required) Experience: * Oil and Gas industry: 4 years (Required) * Steel Pipe Quality Control: 4 years (Required) Location: * Dubai (Preferred) Work Location: In person
