Role Description The Reservations Ticketing Agent is a full-time, on-site position based in Erbil. The agent will handle daily flight reservations and ticket issuance, including searching and booking itineraries, confirming seat availability, and applying appropriate fares and rules. Responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries in person, by phone, and online; providing accurate information on schedules, prices, and travel requirements; and resolving booking changes, cancellations, and refunds in line with airline policies. The role involves maintaining up-to-date records in reservation systems, coordinating with airlines and other partners, and ensuring all transactions comply with company standards. The agent is expected to contribute to sales targets by recommending suitable travel options, promoting special offers, and delivering courteous, timely customer service. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to interact clearly and professionally with a diverse range of clients. Candidates should possess Reservations and Ticketing skills, including experience with airline reservation systems or GDS platforms and attention to detail in booking processes. Candidates should possess Travel & Tourism knowledge, including familiarity with flight routes, fare rules, visa requirements, and general travel regulations. Candidates should possess Sales and Negotiation abilities to support revenue growth by promoting services, upselling suitable options, and meeting sales targets. Additional beneficial qualifications include proficiency in MS Office tools, strong numerical accuracy, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Fluency in English and local languages, prior experience in a travel agency or airline office, and a relevant diploma or degree in Travel & Tourism, Business, or a related field are preferred.
